Our short film idea is a demon horror film. The story is about friends (2 guys 2 girls) who go to an unfamiliar college for the 24 hour challenge. They find a poster talking about the 20 year anniversary of the death of a student against a wall in the staircase. The friends then split up to hide and a demonic presence picks them off one by one.
It begins with hand held footage of them from just outside the door (20 seconds) say to go in, one of them is scared establish that it’s a 24 hour challenge. Go in and it switches to normal camera. See a security guard so they go through the first door to a classroom, hide out until the security guard is gone. The poster is on the door. One of them asks what to do now and cut to them playing truth or dare, someone says to put graffiti on the poster and they say something. Then a different dare. They get bored and split up to explore. 1 boy and 1 girl. one group is shown and the girl hides behind a corner and scares the guy. The demon then comes up behind her and she runs away. Cut to more hand held footage of the other 2 and the guy is messing around with the girl and filming her and saying things. They then notice a shadowy figure at the end of the hall.
I’m feeling enthusiastic to creating this film as I like the Horror genre of feeling that excitement and suspense.
The equipment I need for the film is: Rode microphone, DSLR camera, I created this poster in my bath tub, where I filled up the bath with water and added food red colouring to it and around the bathtub as-well, to create a bloody effect. My face expression is in that position as it makes me look like I’ve drowned to death. I created this film poster because I wanted to create a different theme such as horror because its more exciting and eye catching.
Are group has finally completed creating the film. In my opinion it was a struggle to film because people wasn’t very organised, the actors that were meant to be in our film kept on changing there mind, therefore we gladly found new actors that were kept throughout the film. It was a struggle to film different scene so we stayed late after collage that way it was much easier to film as there were less people. I held the boom pole for the actors to speak in I feel I did well at this as I have a steady hand the dead girl character in the movie
