The different creation of trainer effects using Photoshop and After-effects

to get the blackness in the background I clicked to solid colour then moved the background layer under the trainer layer

 

After I duplicated the layer copy I went to images, adjustments, black & white the duplicated this layer again

On the duplicated layer I went to image, then, adjustment, invert

then I changed the normal to difference. Then I right clicked an clicked on merged down the ii duplicated the layer

Then I went to image, adjustments, and invert again to enhance the luminous silver

then I right clicked on merge down again

then I clicked on colour balance and clicked this square arrow pointing down tool where this will affect all the layers below

On midtowns then I pushed the colours situation (yellow up to –64 anthem red to +14I changed the tone to shadows then made the saturation colour of yellow to and the red saturation colour to +5

 

the I changed the midtowns to highlights and the blue saturation colours to

+14 and the red to +4

 

After I went on to levels , pressed the square box with an arrow pointing down to affect all the other layers too. This tool RGB is to make more depth and graphic in the shoe.

After I clicked on vibrance and the square with an brown pointed down to enhance the gold colour all the way too +100

I also created another design a different colour of the shoe, a berry violet because its my favourite colour.

then I clicked on solid colour for a white background and then drag it under the trainer layer to make it sit on top

I then duplicated the layer and clicked on filter then liquify to convert the trainer to a melted smudged affect

Then I press on the brush tool, and press x to change the colour in black and white then I click specifically on the layer 1 copy so when I rub out the liquefy effect it will make a black effect that I painted out on the layer 1 copy.

then I revert the process by pressing X to change the colours around than I used different brush tools to create this effect.

after I clicked on layer style then drop shadow to saturate the colour to a blueish beige

after I added a layer of a faded blueish yellow background to complete with the trainer by dragging it under the trainer layer

What I found difficult was to the brush tool part to paint the colour white so it ends up black on the colour fill as it was confusing and had to start again multiples of time because I realised I didn’t duplicate another layer of the trainers before I did the liqufy technique. I also found it difficult to add the background to the trainer as the image was small every time I tried to expand it or zoom out. The trainer would overpower the image as this was too small for this background image. To solve the problem I dragged the background layer under the trainer layers like I did with the others, as a result, it worked.

then I clicked on solid colour for a white background and then drag it under the trainer layer to make it sit on top

 

 

Then I used the Magnetic lasso tool to cut the soul and the trainer apart then I used a tool Warp on both to give that tear apart affect

Next I added the splash and rotated it to fit perfectly with the trainer

I clicked on Edit, adjustments, curves so the splash and the trainers are the same colour I turned the contrast of the trainer lighter

I went on Image adjustments, curves, colour balance to make the colour of the splash and the shoe more redder

I added another splash colour of blue to connect with the shoe sole What I found hard was to use the tool magnetic sole to cut out the back ground layer as its an off whit colour so instead I used the eraser tool as the size and the softness has the advantage to go around the splash with out cutting parts of that off, I found another way of dragging a new image on the poster by open image go to the image tab, Windows, Arrange, 2 up vertical, then to the right click on the background the click on layer from background. Then drag the image to the main page, go on select then and click deselect.

 

 

I went to colour balance, and curves to match the colour of the sole and the splash. Then I used the magic eraser tool to get rid of the white background parts there for it looks like the splash and the sole is connected. The splash image still wouldn’t match the colour of the sole so I tried another technique I went on Image, Adjustment, match colour.

I added another layer of the splash to make it fuller

 

I was deciding to add under water paint smoke of the chosen ideas but I chose the bottom orange one because

 

I added a back ground of paint orange coloured smoke because it enchants the vibrancy of the poster. I added colour balance to the under water smoke

after I imported the trainers on photoshop to After affects

I went to windows and effects nd presents

I am new to this so I was exploring the effects on the trainers by going hear where or the effects are displayed

These are all the effects I can use in this software.

This is where i drag the effects to make it appear on the ime line.

I was satisfied enough to download it to Youtube as it looked decent enough.

• Downloading process
• composition, add to render queue
• click on the output module, click on the format the quick time,
• then click render to download

 

 

Completing my first after affects clip was very difficult because Im not used to  the tools in the After effects. the things I got stuck on was the part where you had to add effects on the object to make it move.

What I learnt is:

•  to add another  Diamond on the same effect so it changes on the time laps place the current time indicator to where you want, then press the diamond so it converts to blue to add another effect on the sane one.

I  did this at the beginning and the end on the Scatterize effect where the trainer is formed into tiny pixels, where at the end giving it clarity to show the actual trainer.

• I added the effect, clicked on the time vary stop watch  to record the effect on the time laps.
• I can improve on my next after effect clip to extend it longer showing more variety of effects on my next trainer.

What went well:

•  I liked how the background is black and the shoe is a bright vibrant colour as this makes the trainer stand out

Improve on in the future:

The brightness is quite low for the footage of the clip; as you can see it goes to the normal brightness at the end, I don’t know why that’s is or perhaps I pressed a tool and made it that way. So this wont happen in my final production every tool effect I add ill observe if it changes the brightness of it.

The way the effect transition just paused at 0.04-0.06 seconds is very long for a pause in between the clip. For this reason ill improve on adding the effects on the right specific time line so it plays smoothly.

EBI: To improve it ill add more key frame edits

Then on  After Effect software, I imported the image

To create a multicoloured layer of the background I right sliced on my mouse

Then a white background appears on the screen

The next step to form the multicoloured background

I created this purple pinkish scheme colour because it coordinates with the colour of the trainer but the background is darker than the trainer to make it stand out, therefore, it doesn’t blend in with the trainer.

Then to add effects

At the beginning of the timeline, I added Venetian blinds to introduce the trainer.

Then I downloaded an MP4 screen glitch footage, imported it to After Effects

Layer/new, added a new adjustment layer

clicked on an effect Displacement map and dragged it to the adjustment layer

Next, I merged this effect and the screen glitch footage together

The next effect is a glowing effect where I added this to the beginning of my video to match the whiteness of the Venetian blinds giving it that introduction of the trainer and as the video plays the white glow will slowly fade away showing the full detail of the trainer.

 

 

Therefore I actually moved this Displacement map layer from the beginning to the middle of the timeline because it wouldn’t suit the glow effect.

 

Next, I added a CC twister, the effect of flipping the shoe over twice to give it movement.

I added Warpomatic. This is where the outline silhouette of the trainer increases. This effect is to enhance it more.

Next, I added the final effect by going on to Effect/ stimulation/ pixel polly

WWW: I like the contrast between the dark violet background and the light pink shoe, this shows the trainer in depth of detail.

Air MAX 95 After-effects

I created this effect by exporting this Photoshop image of the After Effects software.

Then i create a black solid background to make all the attention on the trainer.  

I used a lighting effect and experimented with the number keys until i liked the image  of it being a neon multicoloured trainer

Then on  After Effect software, I imported the image

I added a space background, the vibrant mixed colour forms of light blue in the at the top, an indigo colour at the bottom and black on the outside. I chose this to match the colour codination of the trainer of the turquoise trainer. In addition the trainers still stand out

Pre-production-

I used a digital camera.

I planned to take photographs and videos of people posing in their trainers, in the college on the plain grey floor as they weren’t a lot of people due to the specific time I started the shoot being 9:45 AM. Also, it’s simply being a plain background therefore, the trainers stood out.

After getting a good amount of peoples trainers, I started to create my commercial on Premiere Pro.

Final Production creating my video

      First I downloaded several trainers of video clips and photographs.

Next I named the title ‘PRESTIGIOUS TRAINERS” because. .., also in capital letters in a ‘marker felt’ font because it appears the capital letters to be bolder, the edges are round giving it that … effect.  In the video I created a flashy effect on the title to represent the trainers I’m advertising and the most trainers I have edited on Photoshop and After-effect, which are presented as flashy.

Next, I dragged the videos and pictures in the box to add it to Premiere Pro.

After I completed the video I converted it into the format QuickTime to upload it to Youtube by clicking on export the media. Then I added it to the Queue.

This is where i uploaded it.

I got the instrumental music from ‘Epidemic Sound’  because youtube will accept these songs that are on there, than getting copyrighted. I chose this music because I has a nice base and rhythm to it but not too upbeat so it doesn’t distract the audience from the video.
