Starting off I made a mood board presenting images that relates to dream. I used surreal images such as a woman up high standing out of a cave as she sees twinkling stars, there are pictures of dreamy airy colourful skies. Also there is a horror theme based to the mood board as it relates to me as i have horrific dreams such as fairytale dreams too where these images are surreal too where there are silhouettes of human figures rising up into the dim gloomy air above housing.

                         Blade Runner 2049

downloadThe blade runner is an action film set in the future, in my point of view the setting did look surreal, with a lot of neon lights the colour of orange, blue, yellow. There was noble and antagonist characters, and unreal people where real people cant touch them.

Audience– The film is targeted for people who are interested in action and movies.

Techniques- The film has science fiction objects  such as visions of people run by technology, the way the atmosphere is surrounded by strong vibrant lights, the cars look really unique in a modern style where everything is set the audience can tell its based in the future.

The soundtrack aside from being too loud, it really consists mostly of weird sounds noises. There were gunshots contains sounds of violence.

What was the writer’s purpose?- The writer intended to continue the story-line from the original BladeRunner.

Opinion- What i didn’t like about the film is it was very slow, and i didn’t really understand the meaning of the film as it wasn’t explained well.

         Get Out

download (4)(What is it about)- The film Get Out based on a black man going meet with his white girlfriend’s parents for a weekend, as the parents give out a polite presence, whereas a while after he has stayed there, he realises that there is a dark side to the white family and that the girlfriend brought him there for a reason for bad intentions. They try to torture him by taking his eyes and brain out as he fights for his life they try to kill him but he manages to escape without being murdered.

(The audience)- The film is mainly targeted at Mystery/Thriller fans , as the film builds lot of tension that have people and the edge of their seat, and suspense where scenes are unexpected.

The techniques that have been used- When Georgina’s mother is talking to Chris sitting down about his mother while she stirs the tea with a spoon slowly, bringing him deeper in to the trance; as she says sink he falls into the chair into an everlasting deep black hole. At the end of the film Chris rises hes in a dangerous trap as he tries to escape , she uses that technique by stiring the spoon to hypnotising he making him fall asleep.

When Chris begins to realise what is going to happen to him, the  lighting starts to change and get darker this is done to make the film daunting, this gave the film a horror movie setting. The writer uses characters such as Georgina to show that something is not right, this is done when he is introduced to her in the kitchen and she gives Chris a weird stare.

The Dark Room

image (2) image (2)

In the darkroom we made pictures on photographic paper this paper is extremely unique it is touchy to light and furthermore it makes astounding picture, we just made a couple of pictures. It took a few endeavors to make however tragically we lost our photos that we done on the photographic paper. These photos were made by me and Jordan, we needed to utilize contact sheet to build up the picture onto the photographic paper. We continued falling flat and this was on the grounds that the light continued getting onto the paper so it influenced the paper.

Double exposure

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRScatYWYyQ

For this topic i used Photoshop and joined two photographs to make an intriguing looking photograph, for instance, I utilized a photo of one of my photography works and me I consolidated them together and this is the manner by which it turned out which I’m content with. I have utilized the video above to assist me with my twofold presentation. the photos underneath are the when of my trial on twofold presentation.

 Photoshop Double Exposure

 photoshop double exposure

On Photoshop i created a stunning, photographic double-exposure self-portrait. What i did well is i chose a beautiful self portrait of my self and a spectacular background of nature to go along with the double exposure. What i found difficult about it i couldnt move the tree layer for some reason to adjust it; i couldn’t use the dodge tool and the burn tool to make parts of my self portrait darker and lighter thats why its the same shade.

How Hip-Hop Videos Use Surrealism as a Protest Tactic

Hip-Hop artists employments surrealism as their challenge strategy to precise racial separationThe most reason is to give individuals the message of how there’s individuals within the world e.g Dark individuals who are abused since of the colour of their skin and stereotypes from white supremacists. There are innocent black people who have died because white police officers.

Joey Bada$$ ft. BJ the Chicago Kid – “Like Me”

Sense of what it is about?

The meaning of this music video is about how in America black people are killing each other as there an enemy of a gang or the white police are shooting black victims for no reason as they seem them as a threat because there black  so then they end up killing them.

In it, the young rapper spends time with his girlfriend when an armed robber attacks them. Though Joey is an innocent victim, he still ends up as the target of police brutality as the situation escalates.

Throughout the video, Bada$$ is portrayed as the kid who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. After witnessing the death of another man, he tries to avoid the police, but gets shot himself in the process.

Barbican Review

images.jpg

The Barbican is an art gallary a cinema screen and food cafes. Having a tour  around the beautiful place we visited to watch an educational video the meaning of it is about global warming and the effect on nature. It was presented to us to educate us and to warn us about the polluted area around us. The Barbican Centre targets an audience of all ages because education should be for everybody. In my opinion the centre is modern with interesting pictures and it was a great opportunity to experience the building.

Review on Black Mirror: Nosdive

Black mirror is about where everyone life is depended on social media their life status relies on the amount of likes and friends you get on it, so they have to be nice to one another to gain that, even if they dont like that person. Its called Black Mirror because its a reference to the reflection you see on devices when turned off where they see them self reflected. However if the rating goes down then that character would be judge considered as homeless, gets no opportunity in that life. such as the character Lacie wants to buy a house and she doesn’t have enough ratings as money is converted into ratings. So too gain more she was extremely polite to every one and posted more to followed high rated people. The biggest rating is if she made a speech at her “friends” wedding who used to bully her at high school. Two days before she was about travel which led her into trouble because she had a fight with her brother. Her ratings went lower to zero. She had no value where people looked down on her like she was nothing.Black mirror is interesting to see the predicting future of hows society is going to be in the future swell its already starting by social media also I find it weir how everyone has a fake personality and boring because everyone acts the same and can’t show their true personality to survive in that life.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CONNOTATION AND DENOTATION

Connotation and Denotation is describing the meaning of a word.

Denotation- is more of an explicit to describe a word e.g the denotations of the word snake might be “reptile,” “scaly,” or “without legs.” Where it will inform the for readers.

Connotations-  of the word could include “treachery,” “evil,” or “betrayal.”  Which is a more negative description.

image (6)               Shutter Speed

image (6)

In photography, shade speed or presentation time is the timeframe when the film or computerised sensor inside the camera is presented to light, in like manner when a camera’s screen is open when taking a photograph. The measure of light that accomplishes the film or picture sensor is relating to the introduction time.

An illustration is showed up in the photos above when I have used light photography as I have played with the screen speed and ISO so I could achieve this sort of photography.

Evaluation

I enjoyed doing this project based on dreams i found it easy as i can relate to dreams where i have one often. I managed to achieve what I was asked to do to meet the criteria. I have used my smartphone to take the photos to express the purpose of the type of dreams i have taken several photos of my own more of them were taken in central London. I took them in central London because its more exciting and cleaner as i thought it had a verity of aspects of my types of dreams i wanted to present.

What i could do to improve is I should suggest on using a proper camera to shoot my photo and and to add effects to the photos to make it appear more dreamier.

I  chose to do photography based on dreams its because i had an idea of what i wanted to create. It was a great opportunity to explore different kinds of photography through research.
