Sound in advertising

The Toyota car brand is being advertised. The voice in the advert is a man and a woman the tone is full of energy very clear but in a fast pace, the purpose of this is to explain details of the brand what they’re selling but in a short amount of time of 40 seconds so people don’t get bored. They’re doing it like a quiz show where the man is asking the woman questions, therefore, the woman has to answer before the time run out in order. There is an FX like something played at a quiz show. The last question is referring to a Toyota ‘What is a blue moon’ and she advertises the Toyota car what benefits come with it. Also, he replies with more details. It’s ineffective because its too fast, therefore, people would bypass the advert and take no interest in it.

 The Clinique advert is a woman talking in a soft clear tone. Stating how women in the morning can’t find clothes to wear. Then there’s a shift in the present moment, of the other woman talking about the cause of clothes being ‘too big’, too tight’, ‘soo last season’, ‘boring’ this is effective because woman can relate to that and creates a negative aspect of the whole morning routine, before the foundation gets included. However, on the other hand, the positive words used such “Always a perfect fit”, “Breathable”, “Comfortable”, “Fresh”, “Superfit”, “Skins favourite” introducing the ‘Clinique foundation super-fit’ then saying to the woman you can’t go wrong with this foundation. Also, there is a low sound of upbeat music playing this is so the music doesn’t overpower the voice.

The beginning of the Nintendo advert there’s a well know jingle as this would get people attention. There’s a woman talking in a normal pace introducing the new technology gadget which is the ‘brand new 2DS’  also explaining the benefits that you can play the 3DS games on the new gadget as well without the 3D effect. What colours are available to intrigue the audience more. As well as advertising Argos this is beneficial and for the brand, more people would buy them, that you get two free games if the gadgets bought from this shop. There’s a piece of nice happy music playing in the background.
